Permanent and Temporary Resident Cards

CURP
The CURP is the abbreviation for Clave Única de Registro de Población (Unique Population Registry Code or else as Personal ID Code Number). It is a unique identity code for both citizens and residents of Mexico. Your CURP affords you the ability to open a bank account here, work, and obtain Mexican health insurance.
Changes of Address
The Mexican government requires all Temporary or Permanent residents to inform them if you move to a residence that is different than the one you used on your application. Deportation and forfeiture of your migratory status may be enforced if the government has not been notified.
